9.2? Getting creative with version numbers? Technically Messenger version 9.0 doesn't even exist, but this certainly isn't a .2 version.

My msn won't work when ever I sign in it says a newer version is available and then u press download and it doesn't work I tried that changing the compatibility to Windows 2000 and that didn't work either. HELP!!!!

go to programs, right click Windows live messenger then click the run in compatability mode. then choose windows 2000
worked for me

the problem in which it demands install a newer version of this, this is why because your windows installer is older version first install newer version of windows installer then install msn.

Argg cant we just have the older msn back ? hate this version, and when you uninstal this msn try to download the other msn it keeps saying you HAVE to download the newer one. its rubbish!!
